Magorium: Building Roads With Plastic Waste

Founders Chu Xian and Shu Xian developed a deep-tech process that converts unsorted, contaminated plastic waste into a high-performance road material called NEWBitumen. This has a lower carbon footprint than conventional bitumen, while enhancing circularity and supply chain resilience for road-building supplies.

SMU: Using EVs to Supply Electricity During High Demand

This yet-to-be-commercialised business model harnesses the combined power of many small EV batteries through vehicle-to-grid (V2G) services, when EVs discharge electricity from their batteries back to the power grid. An aggregator platform can coordinate EVs and compensate their drivers for these services, and cut emissions by up to 25%.
