Jack Dorsey is the co-founder and CEO of Twitter Inc. and Square Inc., a mobile payments company. Jack and members of his leadership team visited SMU for a special dialogue hosted by SMU President Prof Lily Kong. During the dialogue, Jack advocated the development of an environment where students are able to experiment with different ideas, and be allowed to fail in order to learn from their mistakes. Jack also spoke candidly on the birth of Square Inc. – a mobile payments company that he co-founded – and shared that an entrepreneur needs to be able to embrace other opportunities that may arise as they are growing their start-ups, and be ready to change course to achieve maximum impact.
