The Ecosystem Advantage
Published 1 May, 2020
In an ecosystem, a network of peers, of companies that work together with each other, there will be conflicts, there will be tradeoffs to be made, there will be dilemmas. You, as an ecosystem leader, you need to embrace diversity and dilemmas, while at the same time develop an overarching identity and goal for the ecosystem. You need to be ambidextrous.
Arnoud De Meyer
Professor Emeritus of Operations Management
In brief
- Companies are facing unprecedented challenges as they strive to meet the needs of their customers. Leaders need to make the right innovation decisions to stand out in today's fast-moving market.
- Professor Arnoud De Meyer shared riveting lessons from organisations poised to innovate successfully in this age of disruption. He said that in order to get ahead, people must innovate by harnessing the power of a wide range of partners who can bring different skills, experience, capacity, and their own networks to the task.
- True innovation occurs when leaders move beyond existing patterns and adopt new paradigms that benefit all participants involved in an ecosystem.
